A Second Chance to Finish School
Through a refugee shelter, we met a young mother named Diana. At just 17 years old, Diana is a very reserved young woman. Her parents did not care for her, and she lived with relatives in a village where she could only complete up to the 7th grade. When the war began, her life became even more challenging, especially without the support of her parents and relatives.
Nadiya's story from Rivne
Nadiya 33 old women came to our Life Center Rivne December 2023. The end of 2023 was a crisis for her. First, Nadiya found out that she was pregnant, although she and her husband had not planned this pregnancy, but decided to keep the baby and give birth. When Nadiya was admitted to the hospital for observation, she received the terrible news that her husband had disappeared without a trace in the war. The shock of the news forced her to seek help. Although Nadiya considered herself a strong person, she clearly understood that she needed support.
Camp in Kamyanets-Podilsky
Life Center Kamyanets-Podilsky held a camp for mothers and children in July. The camp was organized by SALI volunteers and staff in a picturesque place called Furmanivka. It was a day camp with 3 meals a day. The camp was attended by 19 mothers and 23 children.

Save a Life International's 2024 Conference
In Ukraine, another Save a Life International conference took place. The conference was held from June 27 to June 30 in Zakarpattia, considered the safest place in Ukraine. Amid the sounds of air raid sirens, rockets, and drones flying overhead, volunteers from all over Ukraine gathered together.
The Doctor Who Chose Life Over Abortion
As an obstetrician-gynecologist with 40 years of experience, I understand the profound impact of these decisions. From 1984 to 2004, I performed abortions and was known for my skill in the procedure. Women came to me from all over the region. At that time, medical science asserted that fetuses felt nothing in the womb, that pain and emotions developed only after birth. We focused solely on the woman, disregarding the interests of the fetus.
From Isolation to Hope: Aida’s story
