A Second Chance to Finish School
Through a refugee shelter, we met a young mother named Diana. At just
17 years old, Diana is a very reserved young woman. Her parents did
not care for her, and she lived with relatives in a village where she
could only complete up to the 7th grade. When the war began, her life
became even more challenging, especially without the support of her
parents and relatives. She was forced to live with a much older
boyfriend, Diana had a child when she was just 16 years old.
We invited Diana to a camp we organized for young mothers. There, we
introduced her to other moms, offered her support, and gave her the
opportunity to talk about what was troubling her. Diana received
psychological counseling, and we discovered her strong desire to
finish school. She understands how important this is for her future.
The camp was also attended by the director of a Christian school. Although the school is private, and the academic year has already started, they accepted Diana as a student. We are now hoping to find a sponsor who can help cover the cost of her education.
We believe that with your support, this can become a reality. Diana's story is a testament to how your donations enable us to improve the lives of women and children facing difficult circumstances.
The cost of her monthly school, and transportation will be $160.
