A Newborn is Saved! Meet Baby Kira.

We have wonderful news to share with you! Another saved baby was born into this world and our Founder & President had the opportunity to meet newborn Kira and her mother Katya at the hospital. We are forever grateful to God and to all of you for giving us the resources to provide for this wonderful baby.

Katya is one of our more recent clients that joined us during the war. She is 36 years old and is from Izyum, Ukraine. She was abandoned by her parents from birth and raised by her grandmother. The father of the baby does not recognize the existence of either Katya or the child. In addition to all of the struggles she already has to deal with, her apartment was destroyed in the Russian invasion.

After the beginning of the war, she fled to Lviv, in western Ukraine. Social workers in Lviv  placed her in the dorms of the “Unbreakable Mothers” program. It was there that she met a woman named Yulia, from Chornobaivka, Ukraine who turned out to be a client of Save a Life International. She brought Katya to the Lviv Life Center for one of its social events. We were able to provide her with grocery goods, hygiene products, and diapers for the child.

We met Katya when she attended an event at our Lviv Life Center, in the west of Ukraine.

We had the opportunity to support her to the best of our abilities during her pregnancy and she decided to keep the child! When we came to congratulate her on the day she was getting discharged from the hospital, Katya said…

“I didn’t expect so many people would come to meet me at the hospital. Especially the Founder & President of Save a Life International Nadia Gordynsky and the Life Center Director Nataliya Kolesnyk. Thank you so much for all your care towards me, for your loving hearts, and for helping during such a critical time for all of us! These things are never forgotten”.

This is just the beginning of our friendship and partnership with Katya and her children. We will continue to serve and minister to her and her beautiful baby Kira!
