2022-2023 Heating with Hope Campaign
The Save a Life International team is launching a new signature aid initiative this winter to provide life-saving resources to Ukrainian refugees and women in crisis.
The 2022-2023 Heating with Hope Campaign will help Ukrainian families survive the brutally cold winter months. Since more than 50% of all energy facilities in Ukraine were damaged due to missile attacks from Russia and the power grid has failed in those areas, our top priority is to provide essential aid to heat, feed, and keep babies healthy.
5 million people in the capital city of Kiev (pictured) are now without power. Power grids across Ukraine have been destroyed or become defunct due to Russian bombings.
"It's winter in America. We've all turned on the heat in our homes. Winter has also begun in Ukraine, where Russian troops attack energy facilities every day,” said the Founder and President of Save a Life International, Nadia Gordynsky. “Thousands of women, children, and families find themselves on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. The fate of millions of people depends on our help. We want to help Ukraine overcome the cold and lack of electricity. Our goal is to collect $1,000,000 and use our existing Life Centers and in-country staff across Ukraine to personally deliver the aid."
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the Save a Life International team is helping women and children refugees escape to safe places in Ukraine and elsewhere in Europe with our transport vans, and providing hygiene supplies and food to thousands of families.
While many Ukrainian men defend the country on the front lines, their vulnerable families left behind need our help. As part of the campaign, generators, heaters, communication systems, wood stoves, hot meals, power banks, and other necessary items will be purchased and distributed through our networks on the ground.
