Greetings, Save a Life family!

As we step in to the year of 2021, let’s start it by celebrating National Sanctity of Human Life Day. On January 23, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day.

We believe that all lives are sacred and Save a Life International continues to be dedicated to helping women in crisis, women who suffer abuse and violence. We believe that in God’s eyes the life of mother is as important as the life of the unborn child. In our Life Centers in Eastern Europe and US, our volunteers and our staff believe that only through love and acceptance we can save the life of a child by positively influencing the mother.

Life Center in the Philadelphia area is growing and we have more mothers with their babies coming to the programs and receiving training in different life skills. Through the programs and the counseling, not only the babies’ lives were saved but the lives of the mothers are changed as well.

Summary of the year 2020

Despite the pandemic and various lockdowns, Save a Life International has continued to care for women and their children throughout the year.

In March we celebrated the opening of our new Life Center in the city of Poltava, Ukraine. God blessed us with a beautiful and affordable leased space in a good location. Our team of 12 volunteers and one staff member (director) are very dedicated. They were taking new clients even during the lockdowns. As a result, they helped 17 mothers and 3 babies were saved from abortion.

We are grateful to God that this year was a turning point for several of our mothers. Many of them professed their faith in Jesus, were baptized, and joined a local church.

Of course, not all the women we counsel choose life. We mourn with them, pray for them and love them. Our doors are open for them and we make sure they know that.
Due to the pandemic, our annual conference was canceled this summer but we were still able to have two leadership retreats this year. It was such an uplifting time being close to each other, learning, praying, and strategizing together for the future.

I visited four out of five Life Centers in Ukraine to meet our moms with newborns, encourage our volunteers and staff, and to see first-hand the work they do every day. It is the tiresome daily hard work that no one notices but that makes all the difference. This work includes long hours of listening and counseling, responding to different emergencies, and at times being exposed to danger. Our teams are showing the patience and love of Jesus which produces miracles.

Many changes also happened in the lives of our leaders.
· Natalia (1st photo from the left) got married in the beginning of last year and just gave birth to a girl Eva.
· Mila (2nd photo) also got married this last year!
· Luba gave birth to the handsome baby Samuel! (3rd photo)
· Elina gave birth to the beautiful baby Emma! (4th photo)

God clearly blesses our team in their personal lives as well as their professional lives.

My husband Vladimir and I also had a blessing in-store: Our second daughter Luda got married to a sweet Christian man Rafael!

As our lives change, the ministry is growing and expanding as well. We look forward with hope and anticipation to the opening of a new Life Center in the East of Ukraine this spring! There are currently 24 regions in Ukraine and our dream is that every region has a Save a Life Center in a major city. We have 5 now with 19 more to go! Every abortion-minded woman ought to have an opportunity to receive wise counsel, support, peace, and a real chance to choose life for her child.

There is a long road ahead of us, but I know that with God, everything is possible!

Dear friends, I invite you to be a part of this journey of LIFE!
