From Struggles to Salvation: Sasha’s Journey with Save a Life International

My name is Sasha, and I am 29 years old. My journey with Save a Life International began in October 2020 when my gynecologist gave me the Life Center's phone number. At that time, my family was facing a significant financial need  and we did not know how to provide for the child.

In the Chernivtsi Life Center, I met volunteers who became like family to me. Throughout my pregnancy, I realized that the Life Center not only offers practical assistance but also provides crucial psychological support.

After the birth of my daughter Diana in 2021, we found ourselves in the hospital. The ongoing war in Ukraine added its trials – my brother got injured, and there were constant worries for the children and loved ones. Both of my brothers and my father have been in the war since day one.
Family issues with my husband arose. This marked the beginning of a real struggle to preserve our family. If it hadn't been for my introduction to the Life Center on the very first day, I would have left my husband without even looking back. But my heart had already started to change. Those were my first steps on the path to the Lord. I realized I needed to walk this path; I needed the Lord.

Throughout this time, Save a Life International has been my support. The volunteers became dear people, each leaving their mark on my life. With their help, I learned patience, love, and faith. Their support ranged from comforting advice to material assistance.

Through Save a Life International, I started attending the "Reconciliation" Christian church in Chernivtsi.

The Life Center has radically changed my life. I found faith in God again, repented, changed my attitude towards life, and became a calmer and more loving mother. Together with my husband, we saved our marriage. I am grateful for every volunteer who became a part of my life, for their love and pure hearts.

Recently, I received baptism, became a member of the church, and felt the Lord's presence by my side. I am grateful for every stage of my life, for the lessons, joy, and trials. Today, I am already serving others, sharing my story, and thanking the Lord for each day of life.
