Anna's Courageous Decision in Wartime

Meet Anna, a courageous mother from Berdyansk, Ukraine, who faced an unimaginable choice during the war. With a second child on the way and pressure from a doctor to consider abortion due to the unstable situation, Anna was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty.

When the war began, Russian soldiers occupied her hometown. The city found itself cut off from food, medicine, and communication with the outside world. Anna and her family made a harrowing journey to safety, facing danger and uncertainty at every turn. They evacuated to Zaporizhzhia, where they found the Life Center of Save a Life International.

Thanks to your generosity, Anna received vital support during her pregnancy and beyond. From essential supplies like vitamins and maternity clothes to invaluable emotional and moral support, your donations made a tangible difference in Anna's life.

Today, Anna and her newborn daughter, Vera, are thriving, supported by the ongoing assistance and programs provided by the Life Center of Save a Life Intl. She is currently participating in the "Learn and Earn" program, which enables mothers to take lessons and receive child support for points. Your contributions have not only provided material support but have also fostered a community of hope, healing, and faith for Anna and others like her.

Such centers help avoid the wrong choice. To keep the child and become a happy mother. Often, girls are left alone with their problems. Sometimes the husband is against the birth of the child, sometimes relatives advise to have an abortion. But it is very valuable when the Life Center is nearby. Here they will tell you: ‘Don’t be afraid. We will be there for you. We will help you.’ This affects the girls’ choices, and they decide to have children.

Currently, there are about 400,000 displaced migrants living in Zaporizhzhia. In the Life Center, mothers find new friends, support, and confidence in the future. Despite the difficult situation in the country, constant shelling, and threats, volunteers continue to stand by mothers in Ukraine.

As the war in Ukraine continues to affect countless families, your continued support ensures that mothers like Anna receive the assistance and encouragement they need to navigate through challenging circumstances and save their babies.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you for being a beacon of hope for families like Anna's.
